To match the updated website design, I developed an updated weekly newsletter for the Game Informer website. I created an HTML template that was updated each week to include popular or notable articles, links, and images, as well as advertisements.
One of the challenges with creating this newsletter was working with the Lyris email system. This email system had significant limitations that on how the email could be developed and content could be added. Although the email was developed to be responsive, limitations with the email server meant that it could not be sent that way.
Lyris also could not be integrated with the website content management system (Drupal) so all content had to be manually added. To assist with this, I created several custom data views in the Drupal system that displayed the information needed in an easy to gather layout.
